Recently out on her own, Dana Swalla, Ph.D., P.E. settled upon the name Moment for her research and consulting firm specializing in product and process development. Moment is the tendency of a force to twist or rotate an object, an important, basic concept in engineering and physics. The symbol for Moment Consulting mimics this rotational motion and encircles a stylized m – reinforcing the name.
